Reviews should say something interesting and unique and express an opinion about something which its writer has experienced (e.g. a film, a comic, a book, a holiday or a video game).

In this section, we will focus on the review itself: its structure and its defining relative clauses used to add information.

We will also learn about transitions, words and phrases that help wave information together.

Finally, we will check the correct use of punctuation marks to make our piece of writing easier to read and more appealing.

Structure:

  • Opening/introduction: give basic information (give the title and author of the book. If you're reviewing a film mention the director or actors/characters. The last sentence of this paragraph is a general description
