Spaniards are known around the world for their famous explorers, poets,
writers, painters, actors and athletes, perhaps the famous Spanish
inventions that we use every day are not so easily identifiable.

THE COMPUTER

The computer is an invention
that completely changed our lives since it was created. It’s an electronic
machine that allows to store and process information through different
programs. It is a communication device, too and thanks to it, our lives are
easier.
It was designed to store and
process information and to make calculations through programs such as
calculators, spreadsheets or word processors. But it wasn’t designed by one
specific person; it has been the development of different ideas from people
related to different fields like electronic, mechanics, logics, algebra and programming,
since the creation of the abacus in 2700 BC. Actually, computers are a
communication device thanks to the invention of the Internet. It lets us to
communicate with anyone from all over the world through social networks and it
has facilitated our lives since we can buy online and do researches faster than
some years ago when Internet didn’t exist.
You can get a computer at
any electronic store or at any shopping center. The prices can be very
different depending on the brand you want to buy. I recommend you to have a
computer at home because it’s very useful but you should be patient when using
one because they can sometimes be too slow.
